MTV is - or rather was - doing this "Make my video" thing. It was cool. Carl's good at cameras, but I knew I couldn't get him to help and besides, what idea would I have that would be awesome enough for MTV and Madonna? I love her and if I was to ever do a video for her - even in a contest - I would want to do her proud.
So, MTV debuted the video last night and it was really cool! I think they're going for a fifties type vibe, but it's cool. Looks like people my age or maybe my brother's age since the guy was driving.
But, it was awesome. Maybe I should try? Might be fun. :)
Anyway, gotta go! Mom's calling. Dinner's ready.

The Introduction
I know. You're looking at my dashboard and wondering why I'd add another blog. I've questioned that myself, but when all is said and done, I felt like some of the things I wanted to write didn't really belong on any other blog, so had to create one which would.
I've been watching a lot of "Family Ties" lately and I realize how much I truly loved being a teen in the 1980's. This blog, which will be starting in 1980, Dad was just transferred to Florida, will be loosely based on some of the real diary (journal) entries I had during the 80s. Some will be memories, written in diary form and others will be actual diary entries. Some will be short, and I will try to ensure that it's written the way I would have written it as an 8 year old, but those may be more memory-driven entries, since it has been 31 years since I was 8! :) I hope that I can keep the integrity of my childhood/teenage journals and make you smile and laugh and remember how you may have been during that time.
And, they won't be in chronological order. Why? Because some of my old journals are now long gone. I know it will be odd, going from 1983 one entry to 1988 the next, but it will work. I hope. If, for some strange reason, it doesn't appear to work in the first couple of entries, I'll try to figure out how to get it in chronological order. Thanks for understanding! :)
